Hobbies/Interests: gardening, music, teaching, crocheting, cooking, giving cooking schools and Bible studies, and singing. Her talents are playing the organ and piano, guitar, trumpet, clarinet, and hand-bells!
How I Met My Husband: Brian was doing a field school in North Carolina the summer before his senior year. I was teaching in NC not far from where he was preaching. I was asked to fill in for the evenings when the regular pianist could not play, so that was how we got acquainted. We drove the road between Tryon, NC and Southern many times! We married during the time Brian was in Seminary.
How I Became an Adventist: My dad was a non-practicing third generation Seventh day Adventist when he married my mom, an atheist. After losing their first child and going through other challenges my mom became an Adventist and brought Dad back into the church. They were baptized shortly before I was born, so I have always been a Seventh day Adventist. I was baptized in a mountain stream with my two sisters when I was 20 years old.
What I Like to Do for Fun: As a family we enjoy being out of doors, music, and visiting family.
