How I Met My Husband: While in college I met my husband through my roommates who were friends with Chuck. We were married in December 1972.
How I Became an Adventist: The testimony of God’s leading Charlotte to Him and this faith is a beautiful one. She shares that she and her six siblings were raised in the Pentecostal church by her grandfather and grandmother. He sold firewood for a living and would pay his tithe in wood as well. One of the families he supplied wood to was a Seventh-day Adventist and later asked her grandmother if she would be interested in Bible studies. She was open to the invitation as she had become disillusioned with the Pentecostal church when asked to return her “tithe” in wood even though now she was alone to support herself and all of the children. Charlotte was about 16 years old when she was baptized into this church.
What I Like to Do for Fun: Camping, biking, hiking, birding, and canoeing
Favorite Bible Promise: Romans 8:28 (NIV): “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
