How I Met My Husband: I was two years ahead of him, and after I graduated, I started teaching. Our interest started while he was still in college; however, I did not realize his intentions until his graduation day. Before Chris left for canvassing that summer, he asked to keep in touch. From then on for about two years, the letter writing began. We were separated for one of those years, due to an unexpected turn of events with immigration. Chris had to return back to Australia. Things worked out for both of us to meet in Canada and work for a summer in the canvassing program. At the end of the summer, we were married in Salisbury, North Carolina, just before Christmas. It's been happily ever after since.
How I Became an Adventist: I was pretty much raised an Adventist. My parents were attending the Lutheran Church until my mom received a Revelation flyer in the mail. She attended the meetings and was baptized. My father came in later, because my mother would leave pamphlets lying around for him to read. Eventually, he was convinced of the truth and was baptized on my birthday when I was four or five years old. I was baptized when I was in the sixth grade at thirteen years of age. I still remember the peace that came over me on that day.
What I Like to Do for Fun: As a family, she and Chris enjoy visiting museums and zoos, going to the beach, hiking, and spending time as family.
