How I Met My Husband: My husband was the pastor at the Dekalb, IL church where he baptized me. It was at a Christmas party where he surprised me with a proposal and we have now been together many years!
How I Became an Adventist: The summer of 1981, my sister started attending a Bible study with an Adventist lady from the Dekalb, IL church. She invited me, but when she told me that they worshipped on Saturdays I didn‘t want to go because I thought they were weird. I gave my sister all kinds of excuses why I could not go, but she was persistent. Finally I said, if my son wants to go then I will go . I just knew that he would not want to miss his cartoons on Saturday mornings, but he said, “Yeah Mom, let’s go.” God used my 8-year-old son to get me to church!
What I Like to Do for Fun: Motorcycle riding, birding, vacationing out west, getting together with friends
