David Fagre Ordained During Hispanic Camp Meeting
During the Hispanic Camp Meeting on Saturday, June 8, family and friends gathered alongside Conference administrative officers at the Highland Academy auditorium, Tenn., to celebrate the ordination of David Fagre to the Gospel ministry.
Fagre grew up in Caracas, Venezuela, in a family with four siblings. He spent several years working in a hospital before accepting the call in his heart to join ministry. David earned his bachelor’s degree in theology from Southern Adventist University, followed by his master's degree two years also from Southern Adventist University.
He has served for several years in the Memphis area where he worked as an associate pastor at the Memphis Hispanic First church. Today, David serves as a senior pastor in the Memphis Hispanic District 2.
David considers himself blessed to be part of the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference. He acknowledges God's guidance in his journey, particularly through President Steve Haley, who played a pivotal role in his inclusion in the pastoral team at the conference. He expresses gratitude not only to the conference administrators but also to the Hispanic pastoral team, led by his friend, Pastor Armando DeLeon. To David, this Hispanic team is more than just colleagues; they are a family.
David is married to Sandra, who has been his partner in adventure for 12 years years. Together, they have faced the challenges and joys of ministry. They are proud parents of three daughters: Ivanna, Mariana, and Luciana. David sees his wife and daughters as powerful evidence of God's love for him. The family currently serves in the Memphis South Hispanic district.
