Churches in Stearns and Williamsburg Share Faith at Local Festivals

The Stearns and Williamsburg, Ky., Churches recently participated in two major local festivals, using booths to distribute free religious literature and engage with the community. At both the Blazin' Bluegrass Festival in Whitley City and the Old Fashioned Trading Days in Williamsburg, church members connected with attendees and shared their faith through books, magazines, and personal interactions.

At the Blazin' Bluegrass Festival, Selena Etherton from the Stearns church recounted a significant encounter with a youth minister who was thrilled to find free children's books for her Sunday school class.

"She praised God that she could share the blessing of the books with her class," Etherton said. The minister left with literature for both children and adults, expressing her appreciation for the gesture.

The Williamsburg Church also experienced many blessings in their ministry. Members, joined by some from Stearns, set up a similar booth at the Old Fashioned Trading Days Festival. Sixteen-year-old Jonny Sellers played banjo to attract visitors. Elder Zach Smith highlighted a moment when a theology student from Cumberland College recognized The Great Controversy on the table, saying, "We are studying this in class!" Smith noted that two years earlier, a Baptist preacher had received a copy of the same book to use in his religious history lessons.

Both churches are committed to spreading their message, using these festivals as an opportunity to connect with the community and share their faith.
