WOMEN’S FALL RETREAT
Our son, as a toddler, loved to race up and down our hallway shouting, “Ready, set, on the mark of the beast, Go!” Apparently, he had overheard our Bible studies and consequently mixed his “mark” with the “mark of the beast” in his race! Certainly the “race” Paul describes is peppered with tell-tale signs of an enemy waiting to delay, discourage or interrupt our run to the finish line. In Ephesians, Paul shares that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. The flip side is the song sung by angels over 2000 years ago that still reverberates throughout the universe declaring the “Good News” that brings peace and great joy! This year we are on a mission! We want to be as Paul implores us in II Corinthians 5 as, “ambassadors of the message of reconciliation.” And Peter corroborates this imperative in I Peter 4: 10, 11 by encouraging, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” AND “If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God!” We need to be ready, and prepared to tell this broken and wounded world that there is hope and healing in the name of Jesus! Join us for a weekend filled with inspiration, fellowship, fun and a closer walk with Jesus so YOU can be ready to Go and TELL the world!
