How I Met My Husband: We met on the first day of class in the fall of 2016 in Life and Teachings of Jesus. A few weeks later, we met again through a mutual friend and started to hang out and study together. One day I ran into him in the cafeteria and he had an entire plate of broccoli. I asked if he was a broccoholic–we laughed and he said “no.” He left the cafeteria before me and when I came out to sit down, he was sitting at the table I used to sit and study at the previous year when my friends were in class. I sat down while he was praying and when he looked up he seemed surprised to see me. Later he told me that he was praying to God for a sign of whether or not to pursue me. Sitting down with him was the sign that he should. We were engaged three months later. We married in March of 2017.
How I Became an Adventist: I am a fourth generation born and raised Adventist and was baptized March 10, 2007. I fell out of the church for a little while but came back later in college when I realized how much I missed having a community of people who believe the same thing.
What I Like to Do for Fun: As a family we enjoy hiking, shopping, and finding new places to eat.
